Strzok/Page Text Messages Suggest FBI Was Politically Compromised

President Obama and Hillary Clinton

The FBI, reeling from allegations of corruption based on the salacious Russia memo and leaked text messages, now faces a new blunder. The original text messages between Agents Strzok and Lisa Page included political and anti-Trump remarks. They implied there may be some people in the FBI aiming to get President Trump. Called the “deep state” or FBI “secret society”, their aim was to stop candidate Trump from reaching the White House initially.

On Wednesday, more text messages were released showing even more potential corruption. President Trump tweeted “NEW FBI TEXTS ARE BOMBSHELLS!” What do these texts mean? Are they really bombshells?

The new texts, again between purportedly between Strzok and Lisa Page, show then-President Obama was keeping watch on the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails. This new batch of texts was released by the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and the Government Affairs Committee Ron Johnson (R-WI). Covering 384 pages of texts, they reveal Strzok and Paige were tasked to prepare talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to brief President Obama. On September 2nd, 2016, a text message from Page shows that she was preparing talking points for Comey because “POTUS wants to know everything we’re doing.” However, President Obama told Fox News in April of 2016 that he would not talk to the Justice Department or FBI leaders about pending investigations.

”I do not talk to the attorney general about pending investigations. I do not talk to FBI directors about pending investigations. I guarantee that there is no political influence in any investigation conducted by the Justice Department or the FBI, not just in this case but in any case."

James Comey had said he had never consulted with the White House or the Justice Department when it came to the Hillary investigation, which we now know is false based on these messages.

This raises speculation that Obama may have intervened in the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s activities. If she were to have been indicted, she certainly would have lost the election she seemed poised to easily win. In other words, an indictment would have guaranteed a Trump victory.

These text messages imply clearly that Obama was overseeing the Clinton investigation and had direct contact and influence with key members of the investigation including James Comey. These text messages further reveal the corruption of the FBI and also how they specifically mishandled Hillary Clinton’s case. The idea that the FBI was used as a political tool rather than its intended purpose of being an objective arbiter, should be deeply troubling to anyone who wishes to maintain stability in the nation. Such implicit evidence would hold up in court due to the fact that there was zero incentive for Strzok to lie in this context.

Only a new, full-scale investigation by a second Special Counsel into the FBI’s corruption can determine who did what, who knew what, and when they knew it. Also, the Hillary Clinton case would need to be re-opened, as the process was far from objective the first time.
