James Comey has put himself back in the news recently with the release of his new book that was supposed to have dirt on President Trump but only tells gossip. Now, James Comey could see himself, Hillary Clinton, and Loretta Lynch under investigation. GOP lawmakers sent a letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions demanding an investigation into Comey, Clinton, and Lynch. The letter details allegations against Hillary Clinton, the FBI, and the Justice Department. Some of the allegations are related to how the Russia investigation was started.

GOP lawmakers have sent their letter to Jeff Sessions demanding an investigation into the handling of the Russia investigation. Last month, GOP lawmakers sent a letter to Jeff Sessions regarding the misuse of the FISA courts by the Obama administration. This involved the FBI wiretapping the Trump team with little to no evidence including the Russian Dossier. This new letter alleges criminal wrongdoing by Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Loretta Lynch, and Sally Yates. GOP lawmakers wrote, “Because we believe that those in positions of high authority should be treated the same as every other American, we want to be sure that the potential violations of law outlined below are vetted appropriately”.

Many of the lawmakers who signed this letter have also previously requested that Jeff Sessions appoint another special counsel to look into Hillary Clinton. Democrats argue starting another investigation undermines Robert Muller’s investigation into Russian collusion in the 2016 Presidential election. Their extreme aversion to any investigation suggests that Democrats are worried the appointment of another special counsel would actually turn up some evidence of wrongdoing.

Jeff Sessions should open an investigation into Clinton, Comey, and Lynch because of how much evidence there is to suggest wrongdoing. It took very little evidence for Democrats to start the Russia investigation. If the scenario was flipped and the Democrats had information on Trump misusing the FBI, the Media and Democrats would surely call for impeachment, which they are already doing with no evidence of any crime. With all the evidence Republicans have why shouldn't they start an investigation? Because Democrats know that it is likely that Republicans would expose the corruption inside the Obama administration and the FBI. James Comey had already drafted his letter of exoneration for Hillary Clinton months before he even interviewed her.
