How FBI Plant Stefan Halper Spied on the Trump Campaign
Stefan Halper has been identified as an FBI informant in Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, multiple news outlets reported Saturday.
President Trump tweeted Friday that confirmation of an FBI plant in his campaign would become the nation’s “all-time biggest political scandal.”
“Reports are there was indeed at least one FBI representative implanted, for political purposes, into my campaign for president,” Trump wrote. “It took place very early on, and long before the phony Russia Hoax became a “hot” Fake News story. If true – all-time biggest political scandal!”

The 73-year-old Stefan Halper served as a White House official in the Nixon, Ford, and Reagan administrations and is currently the Director of American Studies at the Department of Politics, University of Cambridge. He served as a spy for the 1980 Ronald Reagan Presidential campaign, handing off classified foreign policy information from inside the Carter White House, and leaking Carter’s debate strategy papers before the candidates’ televised debate.
Halper has a long, long history of working with the "Deep State".

The New York Times released a report confirming the existence of an FBI informant in the Trump campaign, stating “at least one government informant met several times with Mr. Page and Mr. Papadopoulos, current and former officials said.”
It is expected that the impending Inspector General report will confirm these facts.
It had been previously reported that during “a night of heavy drinking at an upscale London bar in May 2016,” Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos had disclosed to an Australian diplomat the Russians had dirt on the Clinton campaign. The Australians then tipped off the FBI, ostensibly prompting the agency to launch “Crossfire Hurricane” on July 31st, 2016.
But it had been previously reported that two months before the 2016 election, George Papadopoulos received a strange request for a meeting in London, one of several the young Trump adviser would be offered — and he would accept — during the presidential campaign. The meeting request came from Stefan Halper.
This information had been previously reported. It was confirmed that Halper first contacted Papadopoulos by email. In a Sept. 2, 2016, message sent to Papadopoulos’s personal email account, he offered the Trump aide $3,000 to write a policy paper on issues related to Turkey, Cyprus, Israel and the Leviathan natural gas field. Halper also offered to pay for Papadopoulos’s flight and a three-night stay in London.
Papadopoulos had since Halper’s motivation for contacting him, according to a source familiar with Papadopoulos’s thinking. That’s not just because of the randomness of the initial inquiry but because of questions Halper is said to have asked during their face-to-face meetings in London.
According to a source with knowledge of the meeting, Halper asked Papadopoulos: “George, you know about hacking the emails from Russia, right?”
President Trump has since taken to Twitter and officially called for the DOJ to look into “whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration”.
I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes - and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!— Donald J. This is how our government operates when they want to frame someone. They infiltrate the operation, have that infiltrator break the law, blame the operation, and have the infiltrator testify against the operation.
