According to The Hill, Lisa Bloom, an attorney who represented two women who accused President Trump of sexual assault, offered a would be accuser $750,000 to come forward with her story. The woman ultimately did not come forward, but this revelation brings Bloom’s credibility into question, and raises further doubt about the accusations levied against the President. The fact that compensation was offered to potential accusers, should be shocking and alarming to anyone who values law and order, this precedent invites unacceptable corruption into our justice system. This corruption is made even more morally abhorrent by the fact that sexual abuse against women is a very touchy subject for most, and therefore it is easy to emotionally manipulate the public with. When one is able to begin using the justice system as a political weapon, we will have entered an age of utter chaos.

Lisa Bloom is a civil rights attorney who represents women that claim to be sexually harassed by men. Bloom is best known for her role in getting the Fox News anchor and host of the O’Reilly Factor, Bill O’Reilly, fired from his job over sexual harassment allegations. Bloom is also known for advising Harvey Weinstein when he faced charges over highly substantiated sexual abuse accusations. Bloom was also the host of a show called ‘Lisa Bloom: Open Court’ which aired between 2006 to 2009.

The Hill has managed to obtain text messages and emails from Bloom to her clients over how much money each client would potentially receive for coming forward and accusing President Trump of sexual assault. One cannot be certain as to the validity of the claims put forth against President Trump, however, the emails and text messages suggest that there isn't exactly impartiality.

Most accusations happened last year before the November 8th, 2016 election. It has been reported that Bloom was in a hurry to get the stories out before the election to ensure that Hillary Clinton won the election, rather than Trump.

Bloom has denied that this corrupt bribery ever even occurred, as she stated: “This all happened 13 months ago. It’s an effort to undermine the Trump accusers now that they are gaining momentum." Bloom seems to be enjoying the public spotlight, as well as how much she is benefiting from a monetary perspective. Although most of the accusers faded from sight once it was no longer politically expedient, the guilty by association fallacy continues to spread like a virus across our nation. Bloom makes the assertion that due to the high volume of sexual allegations against others, it somehow bolsters the allegations against Trump. In the realm of public opinion, many fall into this trap of believe due to the group association, however, this does not logically substantiate any of their claims.
